According to media reports in Taiwan, ASML, a major semiconductor equipment manufacturer, will invest heavily in Taiwan and plan to build a new factory in Linkou Gongyi Industrial Park, New Taipei City, to promote 2nm research and development.
ASML announced last year that it will expand its investment in Taiwan, China. It is estimated that the investment in the first phase will reach NT$30 billion, and about 2,000 employees will be stationed here.
According to reports, ASML’s mask transfer modules were moved to Taiwan for manufacturing, making Taiwan the world’s only manufacturing base for ASML’s DUV mask transfer modules, driving the growth of supply chain manufacturers such as Fanxuan, Gongzhun and Shenyong.
